A peek from the Town Crier’s Tuesday, January 20, 1987 issue – An historic landmark in the Village of Mildmay was removed, ending an era that extended over a century of service to rural and urban residents. The Lobsinger Bros. Ltd. building located on Absalom Street, West, Mildmay, was demolished by a group of Mennonite men. The company was most famous for its Mildmay Lion Threshing Machines, but also made apple butter and cider during off-season.           – Town Crier photo
