Thompson found the photo of Hafermehl’s daughter Susan (Bross), who later became the publisher of the paper, and her puppy Casey, while doing some decluttering at his home in Waterloo. Thompson estimates the photos is from the late 1960s, when Susan was between four and six years old. - Contributed photo
