Former Mildmay Town Crier staff member John Thompson submitted this photo from a calendar published by the paper’s former publisher, the late John Hafermehl. Thompson found the photo of Hafermehl’s daughter Susan (Bross), who later became the publisher of the paper, and her puppy Casey, while doing some decluttering at his home in Waterloo.
