A peek from the Town Crier’s June 24, 1977 issue – The Mildmay & District Lions Club (who just celebrated their 40th Anniversary) held a Funfest back in 1977 to raise funds for the club’s pledge of $20,000 to the new Arena. The two-day fundraiser was a great success, realizing $4,500.00!  One of the events was a Donkey Baseball game as pictured above. The Mildmay Lions played against the Mildmay Rotary Club.    – Town Crier photo
