A peek from the Town Crier files – NOVEMBER 19, 1965 – Mr. Millet Salter of the architect firm of Salter & Allison, Barrie, Ontario released the above drawing of the proposed new Mildmay-Carrick Central School to be built in Mildmay. The 8 room school, which will have a playroom, is to be built by the contracting firm of M. Landoni and Sons, Fergus, Ontario. Tender price was $259,000. The building will be quite unique in design and has a rustic appearance to it.  Another feature is that it will be heated electrically.
