Fifty years ago, on February 26th, 1965 the first issue of the Town Crier was published! The paper was printed in the office on an A.B. Dick press, and was an 8 page edition. Mildmay Reeve William Macke is pictured reading one of the preliminary copies. The Town Crier was started by John H. Hafermehl, and 50 years later is owned by his daughter Susan Bross, who is also the Editor of the weekly publication
