A peek from the Town Crier’s November 15, 2006 issue – It’s a bit rare to have an Easter lily and Christmas cactus blooming in the Fall at the same time, but Linda Lantz has just that incident occurring in her Neustadt home. She planted the lily outside after Easter hoping it would bloom again for Easter 2007. While cleaning up her flowerbeds this Fall she discovered that the lily had grown and was ready to bloom. With the conditions outside being less than ideal, she dug the plant up last week and brought it into her house to make sure it was warm enough for the blooms to open. She now has both the Easter and Christmas flowers blooming at the same time!
