Curtis Voisin and his wife Serena Tam have published a children’s book titled “My Little Eye”. They wrote the book about their “Superhero” son Theodore and his eye condition, which is explained as his superpower. “When he was born, we learned that his left eye was affected by an irregularity called Microphthalmia which impacts the physical development of his eye which is why his eyes appear to be different in size throughout the book. Often this is also paired with Coloboma which means that he is missing pieces of tissues in structures that form that eye. In Theodore’s case, the retina has been impacted which means that it’s very likely that he has little to no vision in this eye and that cannot be corrected with glasses or contact lenses. We’re grateful for the full vision he has in his right eye,” stated Curtis. A total of 10% of proceeds from the sale of the book will be donated to the Sick Kids Foundation and the Vision Institute of Canada. “My Little Eye” can be purchased online for $15.00 at https://www.mylittleeye.ca/ A limited number of copies are also available at the Town Crier office at 100 Elora Street, Mildmay. They are $10.00 each, cash payment only. You can follow “My Little Eye” on Instagram. Please share and tag photos reading the book with your loved one.
