A peek from the Town Crier’s Friday, July 15, 1966 issue – Yesterday and today…. here’s a contrast of the days that were and are…. the photo on the top was taken of part of the business section in Formosa (Oberle’s Store, the hotel and church are quite visible) during a special celebration. Horse and buggies predominate the street area. The photo on the bottom, which was taken on July 9, 1966, shows that the scene has switched to “car” horsepower. Again, one can see Oberle’s Store, the hotel and church, although more trees are now visible as well
