A peek from the Town Crier’s Thursday, August 21, 1984 issue – The 1984 Mildmay-Carrick Homecoming Parade was deemed “the best parade ever” by the Crier Publisher. The Commercial Hotel, Mildmay, came up with a camel named Baxter, added some costumed participants and won 1st Place with their theme “My Kind of Watering Hole”.
