A peek from the Town Crier’s September 24, 2008  issue – Art McDonald of  Teeswater participated in the International Plowing Match in Teeswater as the oldest plowman. Although there wasn’t a category for the ‘oldest’ plowman, Art was given the chance to plow with the VIP’s on opening day. Art, born in 1921, was raised on the 8th Concession of Culross and still owns the family farm. Art wanted to get on the family’s 1950’s vintage Ferguson tractor and pull at the IPM. Although not the original family plow, an original Ferguson plow was found. It was a memorable day for Art!
