A peek from the Town Crier’s June 8, 1978 issue – From 1886 up to the present date, Carrick Camp Meetings were being held on the 10th Concession (about 4 miles east of Mildmay) on 4 acres purchased from the Joseph Losch farm. During the early part of the Camp’s history, people stayed in tents, cottages or rooms in the Boarding Hall for weeks at a time. The photo shows how sections of the tabernacle wall were once hinged to permit a crowd overflow to listen from outside.
