A peek from the Town Crier’s Friday, May 31, 1968 issue – The $2,000 drainage project at the Mildmay Agricultural Park and Ball Park was completed. The project was sponsored by the Rotary Club with some financial help coming from the Councils of Mildmay and Carrick as well as the Agricultural Society. Top photo: Rotarian Herbert Weber is pictured with the tile machine. Tiles were laid in rows running east and west, approximately 25 feet from row to row. Bottom photo:  Volunteer Kenneth Schumacher was one of several to help fill up the tile lines with gravel.      – Town Crier photos
