A peek from the Town Crier files – Tuesday, September 9, 1986 – Mrs. Frank (Barb) Schuler  of Mildmay captured the first prize money of $40.00 for her dark fruit cake entry in the 123rd Annual Mildmay-Carrick Fall Fair this past weekend. Listed as “Snoopy’s Special”, Barb poses above with her winning cake entry which was turned over to the Crier Editor John “Snoopy” Hafermehl. Second prize of $20.00 went to Florence Bross, RR#3 Mildmay while third prize of $15.00 was won by Kathy Campbell of Mildmay.     – Town Crier photo
