A peek from the Town Crier files – December 15, 2004 -Operation Candy Cane Going Fine – Frank Hoffele (left) owner of Friends Caring and Sharing in Harriston is seen taking away another supply of candy canes for Operation Candy Cane. Helping Frank is Jim Mack. The number of candy canes which had been picked up by Frank was 3,500! Local residents dropped off their donations of candy canes at the Crier office which were then shipped around the world.
