This was published in The Walkerton Herald-Times, Thursday, June 26, 1958 Carrick Centennial and Mildmay Old Boys Reunion Souvenir Issue – Justifiable pride is felt by Mildmay and Carrick citizens where their large Memorial Community Centre is concerned. Mildmay was about the first municipality in Ontario of its size or even thereabout, to install artificial ice within its arena building. The front portion of the Memorial Centre is shown during the last Bruce County Old Boys’ Reunion in 1948 when it was formally dedicated. (The Mildmay Community Medical Clinic now stands in this location.)
