In 1880, the brick structure shown above was built in Deemerton, ON, consisting of a convent and a school. The School Sisters of Notre Dame were in charge of the school until 1932. In the very late 1950’s or early 1960’s, the convent was demolished, and the school closed in 1970.  The first section on the left behind the fencing was the school, and is still there today.  Thanks to Andy and Candice Huber for submitting the photo!
