A peek from the Town Crier’s August 17, 1973 issue – Some Old Boy forewarned motorists entering Mildmay over the 4-day Mildmay-Carrick Old Boys Reunion when he placed his own sign on the Mildmay population sign. The prank made motorists do a “double take” and gave them a big laugh, others caught the view on film, and it got a spot on the National TV news as well as locally televised spots. – Town Crier photo
