A peek from the Town Crier’s Wednesday, June 20, 2001 issue – Congratulations to the Mildmay “Green” Under 14 Boys Soccer team which won the 5th Annual Fergus Soccer Tourney. This particular tourney was open under OSA rules to “select teams only”. After several days of lobbying on behalf of the club, Mildmay was granted permission to enter. (Mildmay was a recreational team club which normally would not have been allowed to play… this was based, more or less, on the view that a small club could not compete.)
