A peek from the Town Crier’s May 6, 2009 issue – The Teeswater & District Kinsmen’s Annual Kids Fishing Derby was held on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at the Teeswater Concrete Ponds. Pictured are the winners in the Senior Division – Brady Montgomery, Lukas Kennedy and Mitchell Clark. Lukas took home most of the prizes for catching a near-record 24 inch rainbow trout. Included in the awards was some fishing gear, trophies and a special wood plaque made by Mike Strauss of Windsor. A total of 325 children took part in the derby. – Town Crier photo
