Complex beneficiary of  Trillium ROOTS funding – Trillium Mutual Insurance of Listowel is pleased to announce financial support in the amount of $30,000.00 to the Mildmay- Carrick Recreation Complex through its ROOTS Community Fund. This generous donation will assist with the upcoming lobby renovation and expansion which is scheduled for the spring of 2017.   The ROOTS Community Fund was established by Trillium Mutual to administer (at arm’s length), the company’s philanthropy program.   Through ROOTS, Trillium continues to provide meaningful financial assistance and support to rural communities in which its policyholder members live and serve.  The company will announce in the very near future 2017 funding being made available for capital projects, with a focus in the areas of Healthcare, Recreation & Wellness, Emergency Response and Agricultural and Eco/Sustainability.   More information about the ROOTS “Recognizing Our Opportunity To Support” Community Fund can be found at www.trilliummutual.com.  The deadline for the next intake of applications is February 2, 2017.     Attending the cheque presentation (left to right) were Brian Durrer, MCRC Fundraising Committee; Joe Dietrich, President & CEO, Trillium Mutual; Karen Schmalz, Trillium ROOTS Council; Ken Schaus, Trillium Mutual Director; Kyle Bross, Trillium staff; Kelly Fotheringham, MCRC Fundraising Committee.    – Town Crier photo
